Some would SA has always been renowned for quality weed, but this is ridiculous, feeling pretty HI here :), brought some home to grow and find a unused lake.

When, and where to gybe? the choice is easy...

Time to make Rooster Tail spray again....

Time to Pull the Rip Cord and let it GO!!! for another mile....

It is a very safe spot Leo as there are only rocks near islands and the weed and mud are at least 50cm in the shallowest places you sail. Only real problem is keeping your eye on other sailors
Grreat photos all...Didn't know you were that artistic Kato!

Leo, you know there is a BIG difference between this place and where you have been sailing. The bottom of Lake George, as is well documented by all who have sailed there, is weed and soft deep mud. Your spots are weed and sand bottomed and a lot less forgiving. I think if you read the posts almost everyone has mentioned how shallow it is. This is no more graphically illustrated than Spotty's pics above.
No one is negative about where you have been sailing, people are just looking out for your wellbeing when you are pushing the boundaries a little. You kind of contradict yourself above saying there are 3 places just as good and closer than Lake George BUT you say they are more dangerous. That's exactly why we don't sail them!
Sorry to thread hijack, I still would love to sail there one day

I had the two hour trudge back to the car with the wreckage...but it was still a great day

There's nothing to hit!
It's difficult to imagine another substance on Earth that would slow you down more gently and safely.
Extracting yourself, however, is another matter entirely...

Awesome pics guys. Spotty i reckon you get a job with White Caps! Bloody great shots! Nice to see the weed from mast high where it can't grab onto you and hold you prisoner until the next gust. Did a few runs with what can only be described as a "Hawiian Grass Skirt" weed dress on. Very becoming. Glad there were was no cameras around then. Soooooo keen to go back. How often do the planets line up and make it all work?
Cheers Tony

Jimbob is the expert on the weather cycle but apparently you get 4 seabreeze days in a row every week or so(aligning with approaching highs?), water levels are another concern as this depends on the drains feeding the lake and the winter king tide top-up.
