Does anyone use their iphone out on the water to track how far they travel and speed etc?

What armband/cases do you use to keep it waterproof?

I have found these products to be excellent, and you can listen to music while you sail and take call's. Not that you want to take call's. h2oaudio.com/

thats a little bit fancy. i just tie a knot in the end of a grocery bag. best to use the plastic ones - not paper.

Yep, I use 'indepth' case, then stick it in a normal water resistant/proof arm bag/pouch, surf proof, combo, expensive the indepth case but works well, have not had a drop of water in my phone with this combo, even after submerging etc.

there are quite a few good covers out there that work.

'Boat tracker' is a cheap and accurate easy to use GPS App tracker, about $3.99 but I know there are better ones out there...yacht bot, is also good...all these phone GPS tools are a great way cheap way to see what speed you are doing, none will ever be accepted if you plan to set a world record though.. But to get you started it is a great easy way to monitor your sailing, have emergency help at hand, and call for a beer and pizza when its all over!

There is a brand of waterproof cover that also doubles as battery also, so extends your phone time, which is great if your are using the GPS feature in the phone because they flatten the battery super quick...can't recall the brand...And I have seen them in RipCurl Stores...nice kit...expensive again but nice, when I upgrade my phone next I will be getting one of these battery/cover thingamejigs...
