Just got delivered (Just before the weekend so I can try it out 
I was expecting to get it Monday.) my new 2016 180-240 Simmer Blackline carbon boom. Been using the Simmer Style V-grip which is a great boom but i really liked the look of the new 2016 Simmer Style Blackline boom and wanted to treat myself (most expensive boom I have every bought!). At least i can rig my 5.6m to my 8.1m on the one boom. It has changed a bit from last years one. First the bigger sizes have a square carbon tail, the arms have a very slight v in them for extra comfort and the boom clam has got bigger. It is the nicest looking boom i have ever seen and am keen to get it on the water this weekend.

All that inlay in the critical areas will peel for sure 
Why do they do that, put all the bling out of reach, keep the front area clean and simple

I have not had a problem with my Simmer style V Line...grip.

So the review is about the name on the grip 
Impressive rear end ...nice .the heads identical to my carbon naish boom ...some factory Im guessing .
