Where do you guys get your information from? Looks like reasonable wind to me (especially down south):
yes but no but yes but no but yes It wasn't like that yesterday. The met dicks are changing the forecast quicker than they are changing their socks. Somebody mentioned sticking their finger in the air. Who was that ?

Yeah, you're not wrong, they've done it again... but at the same time the verbal forecast says something different: IDS1002304 Gulf Waters: Saturday until midnight : Wind: S/SE 13/18 knots and afternoon sea breezes 15/20 knots. Sea: 1 to 1.5 m, reaching 2 m during the afternoon. Swell: S/SW 0.5 to 1 m on southern Spencer Gulf increasing to 1 to 2 m by mid afternoon. Sunday : Wind: S/SE 10/15 knots, easing to 5/10 knots during the morning then SW/SE 13/18 knots with sea breezes during the afternoon and evening. Sea: 0.5 to 1 m, rising to 1.5 m with sea breezes. Swell: S/SW 1 to 1.5 m on southern Spencer Gulf. Monday : Wind: SE/SW 5/15 knots and afternoon sea breezes 10/20 knots. ... I give up, take your pick!... ... a "maybe" 15/20 knots is is not my thing...I'll be staying @home

There was about shoulder high surf with good breaks between the sets. Was a bit light - but no trouble getting out and got lots of rides. Was cross off shore with nice peeling smooth waves. Got 2.5 hours of sailing.

shredded my 5.2m, 4' solid well over head high and 20k cross-cross off. john and myself only at nene. huey, john's son was getting the odd 3 second barrell on his surfboard on the break i was sailing, that trip to bali has helped for sure. john was up the beach a bit getting them from right out the back, 200-250m wave rides. i had to glugg around on my 4.7m, just heading out past the break and gassed in on some heavy stuff, went hard at some lips and ended up swimming quite a bit

sailed at Beachport was a 15 to 20 seabreeze got out for around 4 hours, was some good ramps for jumping but mainly just had a blast out the bay. was on a 5.0 ezzy wave should have rigged a bit bigger but was still basting ok. went upwind to the demole reef but swell was not quite big enough for it to break properly.

not quite mast high ian but very solid! big test coming up tomorrow as theres going to be a 6m sw swell and 20k westerly slapping into the boat, might be giving the gulls a feed looks like the seabreezes are trying to kick in but i think theres not enough heat inland yet, cant wait till the adelaide folk start to cook lol
