I'll be in Devonport tomorrow Tues should be free 2.30 where's the best spot for a quick sail before dark?

Secondly thinking of heading back up Thursday or Friday which will be the best of those two days?

It looks like it will swing to west early afternoon and drop a bit after the front comes through.
Bell Bouy is probably the safest bet as always, but Bakers should be fine if it doesn't drop to much. It tends to be a bit gusty on a pure westerly, but it is cross-off conditions. Moorlands beach, just after Devonport airport didn't look to bad a few times I saw it in the windy conditions, but I have never sailed it.

I might go to Bell Bouy in the afternoon, Greenie and Geoff are having a day off ... off sailing.

Thursday looks better than Friday at the moment.

I second Moorlands beach. Spot guide photos gives you an idea of how to get there. In a strong westerly I've had some great sails. Between the rocks can get some good swell and some nice jumps with flat take offs. Much quicker than the hour plus drive to Greens or Bakers.

Arrived Bakers around 3.30 even I got nervous didn't feel like going out on my own counted around 15 waves to get out the back and then it's hard to tell from that distance but could have been mast high I gutto'd out and came home.
Keen though to head back up Friday if you guys reckon it's on at Bell, Simons pretty keen also and might be able to talk Fluro Damo and Relic into it

If that's what Bakers was Moorlands should have been cranking. Shame, yet understandable

Friday should be ok. Forecast looks like a nice 20-26knt Westerly. I'm in for Friday probably heading to Bell buoy. Let me know.

There is no wrong or right end as far as windsurfing goes just weather patterns that light up different coasts for a few days at a time unfortunately the drives are a couple hours between them .Marrawah is the only consistent wave sailing spot but is in the middle of no where in terms of population and work

Hey vicco
Great speed sailing, Henty river , just up the road from Strahan,4 wdrive only, anything west wind.
Probably some shoot hot wave sailing near Strahan, just no access ,and ballsy sailing by your self.
Next bet Trial harbour ,then Granville harbour, once again normally quite big surf, strong sweeps, no one about when windy, awsome surf, big.
Good luck send some pictures.

Nah... I'd say Saturday and Sunday look a lot worse! Yet it will probably be the lightest day of actual sailing conditions for the next week.

If you check out MSW's forecast, they sat 26-28knots all afternoon up North Friday.
Sea B have been way off the mark of late with North coast predictions.
MSW have been spot on

Nothing wrong with the BOM forecast.
For every sailor heading to Low Head there was another wondering......Why are they going
Now we find out there was a sand castle competition and we're left wondering...........Why didn't we go
Bugga, missed out again I like sand castles

Hey! Great news - we have 4 knots forecast for today and it is currently a little below that.

Quick, get the convoy moving. The wind might pick up if you don't hurry!

Greenie we love to bag you out but in spite of that we should be accountable for our own actions and we actually achieved our goal and it had nothing to do with you but more to do with that Jono kid from Vic who has this amazing house on Phillip Island 10 mins from the best breaks on the planet. Poor kid thought he was meeting some pretty special guys but in actual fact he met a bunch of losers looking for a place to live somewhere where we know the wind actually blows haha I would have thought he'd pick us a mile off.
We're planning to move in to the new PI club house next month everyone welcome no need to book Jono's cooking just BYOG.

Sounds like a Phillip Island trip should be on the agenda. My dear old mum has a holiday house near Cowes if WindSupSurf runs out of room.
