Nice pics Luca. If the "On Golden Pond" (Orange Colour Cast) isn't intentional. Change your white balance setting to AWB or Auto.

Pictures represent the artist impression of "The golden boys" of the north coast ...

Bell Buoy was quite messy, but reasonably big today ... I think it would be out of control for tomorrow... so probably not a good option ...
I will head to Bakers, planning to get there around 11 ...

Some of the northern crew are considering Greens beach if it is NW ...

Felix, Jimo, is Bakers going to be too big and messy on that NW forecast? I'm keen if it's sailable.

Everything is going to be off the scale up this way tomorrow. Clip in and hang on. Easiest time to do front flips/catapults. Break your gear and your face.

Forecast still slight nw. Bakers probably the safest bet. Unless more north then greens will be the go.

We did have one unsailable day last year at Bakers, with forecast similar to tomorrow ... maybe it was a bit stronger and a bit more northerly ....
Felix said that it was nice today and wind shouldn't go too far north, so it should still be very good ...
Other option, if it is off the scale might be Greens beach, it should still be fine with NW or even with WNW (had one very good day there with WNW)...
We will just have to see what morning brings
(Hopefully an epic day)

I just remembered that guys had great wave session with nice clean lines in Port Sorell bay that day last year ... so that might be convenient if Bakers is too messy....

Ps. I'm out. Bloody foot injury. Thing won't get better. If not I'd totally be up for breaking other parts of me. Love these conditions.

The last shot of Felix says it all.......WINDY!!!...Nice pics Luka.
By the way, Houston said "Did you see my back loop"(At Greens) I said, no of course. When I asked. Did you land it? The reply was. "Well I was facing the other way"!!! I burst out laughing, but I did see the attempt and it was pretty chook farmer impressive!!

Pretty fun day and pretty awesome to see Portsy, Greens and Bakers all going off together. Well done Johnny, Paul and Luka for the cool pics

By the way, Greenie said "Did you see my forward loop"(At Greens) I said, no of course. When I asked. Did you land it? The reply was. "Well I was facing the other way"!!! I burst out laughing, but I did see the attempt and it was pretty, for a nerd, impressive!!

ps: Greenie and Clarky it's time you went that extra mile get yourselves a passport and travel to Bakers that's a sh.t hot spot.............. do you know where it is? ..............no?............ well you did tell me how to get there!!!!

Well, we know the direction cock farmer. We were just hoping you took or...."Chook" the right hand turn instead of the left. REALLY happy you found your way too...some type of happiness.....It was still port tack further west Ant. Cant believe you didn't land that second back loop attempt.

I can vouch for Ant's back loop - yes, it was a valiant effort...unfortunately it handled like a Valiant too - the back end overtook the front. A sort of 'Backwards back loop'...?

I should also take the opportunity and confess to having quite a few giggles at other people's expense yesterday -

Paul - launching huge and not landing - but then what do they say about any landing you can walk away from?

Mr Rob - I did enjoy the answer to my question - 'So, did it all come flooding back?' - Rob's answer - several minutes of belly-laugh (I think that is a 'no').

Houston - first run - on the water - flat out for about 30 metres - launch off first little ramp - slam into second little ramp - BOUNCE! - Welcome to Greens Beach in 45 knots!

And I should also confess to going over the handle bars after making a HUGE 'gap' - launch off one wave and land over the back of the next. Never thought I was going to make it. Laughed so much I got hauled straight over the front...managed to see the funny side. It is always slightly bizarre to be lying on your back on your sail, looking at the sky, hooked in, after doing a rapid lap of the mast.

Bakers - is a long drive for a bad sail. I think we need a better forecasting / observations mechanism. It looks good in the photos despite a forecast that was suggesting it would be 'off-the-show'. Good point Luka about Port Sorell - a local fallback position.

A slightly punishing three days - I feel fifty two years old today!

More please!

Yes H-man I was a little disappointed to miss the action. I would particularly have liked to see your back loop ( I think if you are facing back to the beach when you land you can claim it....Regardless of what Greenie or Clarky say.... and looking at the latest PWA vids having a foot out of the straps and only one hand on the boom seems to score extra points!!!!). There seems to be a point at around 11 or 12 degrees when the kids think that it isn't good beach weather....wind strength doesn't seem to be an issue but sleet is not considered good. Strangely once the temperature reaches -2 to 0 degrees and it starts to snow then everyone is happy (I know this makes no sense). So the next time its howling and snowing to the waterline you will see us all there with the windsurfing gear and the snow sleds......

Dear Huey,

It would be really good if we could have a forecast something like this for the next few days...

If you can make it happen, we are willing to offer a sacrifice. Yes, it would only be someone old and useless, given that it is only 4 days of useful wind, but a gristly, bitter, stringy old carcass, that smells mildly of urine and makes a continuous moaning noise may, just may be better than nothing. Possibly best served as meat (gristle and grizzle) balls, in a very strong sauce...and don't worry about those two - not worth the trouble.

If you are making meat balls, you might find that you can only roll them in one direction, and that they will continually land upside down.

Just don't examine our wizened offering too closely - it is only four days...

Thanks Huey!
