Lakes Entrance - Wavesailing

Am headed to Lakes Entrance for a weekend in early Feb and hoping to get a sail in but have never been there before so was after some recommendations on spots to wavesail.

Hi Tim
I spent every Summer on the Gippsland Lakes as a kid. The swell is pretty square onto the banks around Lakes Entrance but if there's an easterly you should take a look at Red Bluff (east of the town)...a bit of a drive but a few hours away and you can be at Cape Conron (nice slow wave) or Cabbage Tree (a bit of off-road required)
If you get a big low pressure blow, the Gippsland Lakes can throw up some fun bump and jump at Metung or further west at the Silt Jetties at Eagle Point.
