Does anyone think there will be wind at Sandy Point tomorrow? I think it is wishful thinking, but would really like a walk across the dunes for a Long arm sail.
Did you make the trip Tom??
Looks a bit NE so probably not long arms - but the Gap..
Plenty of swell around I think it would probably be pretty sick today
Yeah let us know, I was seriously thinking of taking the day off and heading down as well, but being NE thought it might be risky and while the gap is good, its never as clean as long arms or in front of the shop.
Had it been the weekend I would of gone for sure.
Pulling a lot of faces there Tom
Waves look really clean....I am very jealous...
and as is the norm in Melbourne this season, no f#@!ing decent wind again this weekend and crap weather
Rosobot said... I learn't the face pulling from watching Joel! I think it has greatly improved my sailing
Joel puffs... just before a big move watch him suck in air and puff out his cheeks. Maybe we should call him Mr Blowfish... (or maybe not!)
Personally, I'm a tongue pointer - leads to some embarrassing action photos. But at least you know where my focus is (follow the line of the tongue). Just call me Peter Daicos... (or maybe not!)
good to see you went for a backie :)
i agree long-arms on a warm easterlie in summer is just heaven. Buts lets keep it quiet as sure as hell in the governments wisdom they will probably sell it off and develop it or put a big oil pipe in like the poor guys are dealing with in WA. so shhhhhh
I did go for a few backies but the one in the video is on starboard tack, so not from yesterday!
Unlike Joel I don't have the ability to do any big (or small) moves and am always just glad to get out and back in one piece!
Ah so jealous!!!
Looked really nice
When did Zac come back from the west? is he shredding now?
Good work on the facial expressions Tom. Andrew is right though I will have to teach you the cheek puff! It's really good to get that little bit extra rotation on your loops which it looks like you could have done with there!!!!
Another one that works really well for me is if I close my eyes really really tight in a top turn I can throw heaps more spray in the top turn!
Classic pictures Joel!
Zac is certainly going hard, which resulted in some of the best wipe outs I have seen. He is also doing some Phil style forwards...

Good! Can't wait to see some
Poor Phil - only forwards he will be doing for a while will be in the snow... started a 2 year job in Germany. Although he does plan on going to Sylt.. and Maui!
Yep! Sam, Nick and I are going down tomorrow for a quick sail! I need to be back to collect my son at 6pm so we will be leaving SP @ 3ish. Just hope there is some swell....
Not sure that you will get much swell as it was fairly small today but so much fun!
Still working on the face expressions but think I am getting better
Its not surprising it flexes with me hanging off it!
NP X9 for you and the bloody clamp head is moving as well! Not sure that it is all flex as I think the lens on the gopro is also adding to it.
Al - Are you kidding! I have only just started to keep my back foot in the straps on a bottom turn, learn't to sail out with out always getting trashed (although I still do have a habit of doing it) and am not ready to look like a complete tool in public at a windsurfing comp!

Roso, definately agree that is the go pro lens distortion...take a look at the horizon and theres something screwy going on there.
Great face expressions tho'!
