Not all the wind is in the South of New South Wales...
I've been trying to get better at back loops and persuaded my girlfriend to video for a couple of hours.
Turned out to be my best day ever!
Stoked for you mate and very jealous as stuck in Brissy this weekend. Hoping to get down that way next weekend though
Inspirational
In the early days of trying these myself. Just getting half loops then crashing. Any one tip that made all the difference?
Cheers
You make it look easy. Well done. Always found looking over the shoulder and picking a landing spot made it easier. Also picking the right wave as Martin did gets better results. Pushies are next buddy??
Thanks Russ, There were a lot of other fist pumps and claims. I had to edit them out
Not sure I have any great tips. The rotation seemed to come pretty easy but I was having a big problem with over-rotating on the higher ones.
Managed to make some progress on that by moving the back hand back before takeoff, then keeping it really sheeted with the back leg tucked right up on the way down.
The right conditions and ramp really help when learning I think. Got to be a vertical wave and if its too onshore you lose too much speed turning up into the wind to jump and don't get the height.
Having said that the pro's seem to nail them off anything in all conditions!
Any experts out there feel free to chip in!
Love it. It seems kind of majestic. That's what will/want to be doing next season. Unfortunately have to rest this one out
well done very inspiring
sticking a backie after you've tried a million is the best feeling! nice martin! Looks good on northern NSW in the next week - will def try get down there - probably venture another ten mins though and sail flatties
