This is not meant in any way to denigrate the great efforts of the state Kite Surfing Associations over the past years but is an open question based on the fact that AKSA now seems to be considering a constitutional 2-layer structure that would place it in a great position to manage and grow the sport nationally.

Noted:
that AKSA now has centralised national membership,
that AKSA has chosen IKA alignment (and hopefully will persue this within Ausdtralia to achieve recognised Australian sailing and sporting accreditations),
that the kiting base in general has accepted an increased membership premium,
that the insurance coverage has promise of improvement, and
that the sport itself seems to become more accepted to the "other sailing disciplines".

So, do we need every state to duplicate a committee-like structure at the cost of countless volunteer hours and sometimes very rare dedication when these same resources could be called upon when needed to assist in nationally organis...

As we all know the beach at the River Mouth is a safe and handy escape route when things go wrong or the wind simply disappears while kite-ing Main Break, myself & Marty from Delta opted for the downward run to the river mouth when the wind lightened on Monday, but we made sure we did one important thing, we kited to the most NORTHEN end of the river mouth beach, away from swimmers and surfers. After packing up I stopped in at the Lifeguard position at the river mouth for a chin wag with the lads, they conveyed their concerns, and asked me to pass them on, so here they are.

When bailing to the River Mouth DO NOT kite anywhere near the southern and of the beach, keep away from the swimmers area and the flagged area where surf lessons might be under way, DO kite to the most Northern end of the beach and land your kite there, pretty simple and reaso...
