Not expecting all of you to turn up..but it would be rude not to make the offer in the first place. And it also opens things up for a few photos of the proceedings

York Regatta

Jubilee Bank Holidays - Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th June
This is the one you've been waiting for, after 10 years plus absence from the race circuit YLYC will be hosting a two day regatta as part of the 2012 British Championship series at Elvington Airfield nr York, all sailors & visitors are welcome. Whole site available, two miles of runway, huge pan area & service roads, race circuits will be set according to conditions.

Sailing master - Mike Hampton, briefing 10:00hr Monday, prizes for 1st 2nd 3rd in each class, first aid cover provided during racing.
Series of races over two days for C3, C5, Standart & Mini (FISLY spec), entry fee �20 per pilot (no additional fee for sailing two classes)
Monday night venue TBC.
Free camping on site Sunday & Monday night � limited facilities, access available...

First 3 Days are for the FISLY Miniyacht Class (like the LLF, Blokart,X-Sail,Vsail,Potty,Plume Kark,Ludic, Silence, windreamer etc etc ) and remote control landyachts.
The following 5 days are for FISLY Classes 2,3,5,7,8, Promo and Standart - there will be 3 circuits for racing on the beach running simultaneously !

This will be the biggest World Championships ever !

I hope that some pilots from the Southern Hemisphere will come and join in, especially in your minis - LLFs and Blokarts which are easier to transport.
Class 5Promo yachts will be available to rent from the organisers.

So start spreading the word please- you have the invite so get to it folks !

everything is now interchangeable now, big sails little sails ,20"or 16" skinny or wheel barrow wheels, got a bit bored so knocked up some 16" o/s diameter wheels.

Maybe I should make some floats to with the rain you guys are having.

Think I might head up north for a couple of months.

Ok guys and girls i have just had an update that the lake is dry and firm and by the easter break should be rock hard barring any heavy consistant downpours and the track onto the lake is accessable by normal passenger car with caution to a couple of wash outs,so get your planning caps on to enable yourselves to sail at this pristine venue.We are planning to be lakeside around dusk on Thursday.

Well at long last the Perth Blokart Club has been given it's own permit to operate on Lake Walyungup on Saturdays in it's own right as an independent club.
We are hoping to lift the profile of Blokarts here in Perth and expand our club membership base.
If there are past blokarters who wish to dust off their karts and come sailing this summer then please contact Andy B from the Perth Blokart Club on 0412 464 335.

I know it is a long hike from the Southern Hemisphere...
But the Playas event has been resurrected for May 12-16 2011. Should be good for some moonlight sailing.

Oooooooh this looks fun. what suprised me is that now we have good GPS, the DN's are not so fast miranda is getting speeds to rank 6th in her mini, josephines run would be up in number 2. looks like we'll have to get the minis out when the lake dries

there is a small team of expert class 5 pilots from Lake Lefroy heading down to Walyungup to give the Sandgropers a few tips on the weekend of the 8-9th January, so this will be you chance to meet some real stars and maybe get hooked.

I try and keep an eye out for any new posts relating to up coming events and then "stick" them so they remain at the top of this section, but if I miss one please send me a PM and I'll stick it for you.

I also "unstick" them after the event has passed, but again let me know if I miss any.

all that stuff came from running through a narrow creek of water that had blown inover 2 days. out past the saltwater it was smooth and clean
