Im going to let the cat out of the bag to all, im guessing it will be a huge shock to some. The photo i posted a few weeks ago titled "caught inside at my local" isn't real. It was made with photoshop.

Anyway, I just thought, maybe other people should post some photoshop awesomeness of there own. Lets see who can get the green or red thumbs.

I keep seeing a lot of negativity toward posts by sponsored riders even when they are providing good answers to questions people are asking.

I find that the sponsored guys are a good source of information on gear because they have tried a lot, spend a lot of time on water, and wont use gear that doesnt work. They will even usually let you try gear out to see if it suits you before you spend your hard earned on it!

Is it because we are jealous?
Do you want to see these contributors mention who there sponsors are whenever they post?
Maybe there could be a section under their avatar with a sponsors list?

I see that Jessica Crisp is the woman competitor but can't find a men's competitor

Does any one know who does "windsurfing specific" 3/2 steamers. As in a wetsuit with larger/baggier arms/forearms?
Anyone used windsurfing specific wetsuits?
Please don't suggest a normal surfing one with new fandangled super stretch arm material.

hey:

read , heard and saw photos of the "original" Wayler where the "keel" was slung over the shoulder, etc
just recently in Canada saw an advert for a Wayler that barely resembled the "original"
seemed to have less liters and more planing oriented

Most of the time I am happy just to get on the water but at this time of year as Tassi chills down and the light starts to fade at 330 pm a little bit of introspection happens.

What does it take to improve, how can I get more time on the water next summer, should my board have more fins or less fins ,what is a wave, is the Flying Spaghetti Monster really real�..you know the � Big Questions�.

Getting bored with lack of wind so Dave & I went for a surf been 6 years man it was very small surf only 1 to 2' but just so crowded SUP & mals ruled no wonder I give surfing up for windsurfing they can have the surf. The weather & temps were fantasic for this time of years its good living in Qld this time of year.
O & there was girls in bikinis surfing all around us also gr8 day.

bottom of my formula board was totaly fked .. around the fin and nose thier is still crack in the foam y can see .. suprised bout the **** quality of foam used inside it .. plan is to smother in resin and wak the skin back on with a heap on weight on top .. .. .. .. .. .. yerp

Advice on buying a new sail

I recently bought a tabou rocket 105 lt. 2011 model. Can u please advise me about the appropriate sail that I should buy? I am an intermediate windsurfer (planning harness-footstraps, waterstarting, tacking and trying to learn the planning jibe). I weight 70 kg.The conditions I usually windsurf is in choppy waters with winds from 15 to 25 knots.

Canberra + Lake George for sailing

Just been on a holiday down the south coast.
Can you ever sail on Lake George?There wasn't as much water in it as I expected after such a wet season but maybe they didn't get as much down there as we did..? It must get wind as there is a 98 odd turbine wind farm on the ridge behind it.. We cycled around Lake Burley Griffin in a 20kt - 25kt Nw but no one was out..I was wondering why Id gone cycling when the Sw front was through & was at least hoping to watch others getting out in it..I suspect it was because of the algae in the water? There were a few signs warning about swimming.Where do the locals sail then?

Checked out Jervis Bay and the runs look enormous! I know it can get big chop. Is there any where you can get long runs in clear wind and flat water? Whats the best time of year for sailing down there?

i've got a TT and i've got a sb. But i don't get on with the surfboard mainly because of toside riding. I've got some warn out knees from years of mountain biking and for some reason when i ride toeside going upwind hurts the hell out of my knees. I can ride downwind down the line toeside without pain.

So i'm thinking of getting a wave style mutant and bypassing any toesiding in favour of TT style fowards and backwardsing

If you are mutanting let me know your opinions.
