where's the wind this year , i'm up in gero and we haven't had a consistent sea breeze for 6 weeks . this time last year it was 30 to 40 knots every night . is it something to do with el nino ???

Agree it has been very ordinary but we have had some great days over the last 6 weeks. Last Wednesday for example was all time epic on the 6 with a big swell.
Looks like improving from tommorow!
One good day does not make a season and its returning just in time for me to go back to work after holidays

That sucks Chris! Been getting 2 or 3 seshs a week but hasn't settled into a proper seabreeze pattern for a while. Nice you are back at work so the wind should pick up now haha
Stop ya whining seps. QLD has had it's fair share of windless years, now it's our turn to shine! Bring on El Nino any day
We've had wind here in the naki. But lacking epic swell we usually get!... had some epic days but not the truck loads of 3m+ swell days we usually get.
I'm almost forced to consider freestyle as I'm not entertained enough without the sweet swell.
Hey
east coast (coffs harbour ) is the same.
Were still waiting for season to start here compared to last year.
I don't know where on the east coast "dowls" is but the wind has sucked up here on the Central Coast. Often waiting for the Southerlies to come through in order to get those epic days we are used to.

but it does keep the fire alight, ill take one day of charging dragons and filthy pits over 2 weeks of mundane meh kiting any day,
agreed last Wednesday was pumping but massively gusty , swell was awesome and i still have the bruise to prove it

Luckily an hour south of narrow neck.
