Special price for DAC sailors $200
The perfect board for an introduction to raceboard class, and a great light wind explorer.
Mistral One Designs are durable, easy to set up and keep their re-sale value.
I bought this board in 2015 to try Raceboard class and sailed it at the RBoard Worlds in 2016 and the Nationals in 2017.
Mistral One Design Fin
JP Freeride 40cm fin plus screw (power base)
This board has been painted with non-skid and that's still in okay condition. No signs of any major repairs or dings, though it has plenty of scuff marks from my roof rack bars on the bottom surface.
The mast track is in original condition, works fine. The pedal is missing its stopper but still works okay. The centreboard case is in good condition, no cracks or wobbles and the gaskets look like new.
The mast base and extension are original and work fine. The extension works with any normal diameter mast and is a generous length.
The Mistral fin is pretty beaten up but works okay. I didn't use it for racing, preferring the extra lift from a slightly longer fin (also included).
The centreboard is missing its original rubber top (believe it or not you can still buy replacements from Windgenuity) but works fine as it is with some rubber wrapping.
All but one of the footstraps have been replaced since 2016 and are in good condition.
Mistral One Designs great for cruising since they are efficient at going upwind in light winds, lots of fun to sail in moderate breezes too. They will carry an 8.5 m sail easily and more experienced sailors could go larger. They aren't suited to sailors over 95kg. As an entry to raceboarding they will get you going cheaply.
Dobroyd Aquatic Club (DAC) in Sydney: sailors who have graduated from Richie and Lissa's learn to sail, DAC twilight sailors and DAC sailing club members can have the board and accessories for $200.
