What's happening on the gear front? Impact of Covid on production, marketing, supply, pricing? Anyone know? Anyone care? Any scoops? Any of the brands going to struggle to survive? When will we see 2021 products/catalogues if any?Have your equipment expenditure plans been impacted?

Yeah, and who knew the Fanatics had such a big following in Aus
I'll take that as a 'who cares?'
Unknown, it's secret. No.no.yes of course. dont know. Probably.unknown. With my American stimulus money, I spend some on 2uv shirts.
The large company's ie NP won't be effected , I reckon. The smaller supplying things like components will have some recovery, hoping that's the case ,recovery.
the small brick and mortar shops, I fear most for, and those we need .
Hood River has been a graveyard, but is now showing signs of coming back to life. Not much sailing there yet, since the launches have been closed or greatly restricted. Windsurfers/foilers and kiters have been stir-crazy and have gone out to the far-east Gorge sites to get their fix. On Sunday, Arlington Port and Roosevelt were a madhouse. 30+ mph winds helped.
Businesses are doing mostly curbside pickup or mail-order. Sailworks has made a big bunch of face shields for hospitals.
If we keep supporting all these businesses, things will be OK. Not fine, but OK.
Counterpoint: being 1000miles away I don't see the activity or lack of it. BUT iwindsurf forum has 9 Gorge area threads, that activity has been very active since April. The stir crazy river goers, well some have defied the governors orders in Oregon and Washington states to remain home except essential travel. Little areas have imposed restrictions on locals only, like you said. Creating a hostile like atmosphere, really on paper anyway.
my friend , tried to purchase a board from a Hood River shop, the lack of customer service is disarming. He got what he wanted from Maui. An USA east coast shop was the same mentality. my POV HR should just be getting exciting now, with warmer waters.
Sailworks is to be highly commended for making the masks , did I read that Chinook was doing something similar ?
Being innovative is key to survival in these uncertain times. It's great to see that Sailworks is one of many. I saw the whole article of what Sailworks is doing in Windsurfing Now magazine.
WindTech are still in the game and have a new board coming in Jul/Aug

Production has been a bit delayed due to the current situation but boards should be available well in time for next season.
Some footage of a great local sailor (Matt Holder) in Perth on WindTech gear. www.facebook.com/WindsurfingWA
Just another day at the office for this weapon

I heard they are bringing out new 2021 design stickers for the LT.
The new stickers are suppose to be 20% lighter than the old ones which will improve over all performance and speed, they say it will be a real game changer.
I've been doing a crap load of designing and prototyping.
Wanna beanie?
Nice!!
Beanie yea baby. How does i gets one ?
industry. Worse than I thought, much wore. One of my contacts, has had the factory shut down for 3 months.
deep lack of supplies, huge demand, increase in all costs especially shipping costs.
If you see something you want , now, get it now.

I suspect big parts of the industry will suffer and some may not be here in a year or two. That's my guess. If there is gear you want I agree ; get it now. There is a twofold effect there- you get some gear, the shop/ manufacturer gets some likely much- needed cashflow. Maybe that bit more likely to stay solvent and still be around. In the dead of winter lots of the shops have superb bargain bins. If you can, go for it. I would count several shop owners and industry people as friends. Not keen to see our much- shrunken sport contract further.

Ditto, if you are lucky enough to be able to buy, right now is a good time...

Hmmm, that delta gps weapon Looks interesting. Tell more
WindTech are doing some new weed fins and a speed/flatwater/weed variant as well. Pic below of the 24cm version (proto only). From all accounts and feedback from some of the local Perth sailors who have tested them and the fins performance/holding ability, these will hopefully be going into production soon.

Beanie? Hell yess. But can I have a few of the A base fins. Not much choice around. 85l board with 6.0,5.04.5 Sails. B&J winter sessions. What sizes do I need?

The mast curve looks too radical and ready to snap. Great footage all the same.
Another 3mins and 32secs of my time that I won't get back.
