Good to see so many registered.
Anyone interested in some 'pre-Windfest' training at Burrum should consider a look this 'Sunday 8th March and on into next week.
Check the forecast Saturday evening and go for it if you can spare a few days off work.
I'm not able to get there Sunday but if it kicks late into next week I might able to go Tuesday or Wednesday for a couple of days
Either way see you at the fest
Cheers
Tony

I'm tempted ,but they are expecting 600mm plus.burrum will flood and you will be cut off at gympie. I'm watching
At this stage the Surf FX Burrum Windfest is going ahead as scheduled but we will be guided by government directives.
Hopefully no new directives affecting our event will be issued in the coming week
So ive had a mate cancel for Burrum comp due to Corona international restrictions. Ive got a spare room for rent at KENDI house, right on waterfront. Just PM me if you are interested.
Darkman.
Hi any furthur updates on what is happening? Also if it is still on do we know if the pub etc is still open?
The event is going ahead.
It has been a bit of an agonizing decision -damned if we do damned if we don't.
We have not received any directives from AWA or WQ saying not to go ahead and the event falls within the government guidelines.
Please go to windwanderers.org.au/ for social distancing measures. We originally had 40 entrants about 10 that we know of have pulled out. The NSW and TAS crew are on their way.
SurfFX are still on board with the prizes.

See you at 10am for an outdoor meeting
SURFFX Burrum Windfest update
Due to the current COvid19 situation the event organizers have decided to cancel the event including all social events. All previous notice of race and sailing instructions are null and void.
The organizing committee has decided to make the event an online group. This will mean that entrants who were unable to travel to Burrum Heads, Qld can still register in the Burrum 2020 group and sail from any spot.
Go to www.windwanderers.org.au/public/pages/2020-surf-fx-burrum-windfest for more details
That's a shame the social side is cancelled. Good that the support boat will still be in action though.
That's a great idea to make the best of it, have registered on KA72, hope there's wind for everyone wherever you are
Great work setting up the KA72 event! Best of luck to all those competing - and hope conditions especially smile upon everyone at Burrum.
