A SUP Fishman's Paradise in Belize

What better way to fish places like this, than from a SUP?
Accessible by boat or aircraft, this tiny island in Belize is a fly fishermans paradise, if you're into SUP fishing that is!

Ambergris Caye, is about to open this year as a dedicated fishing destination. Tucked away on the southern end of Belize, this oasis is the last developed property until you hit Mexico. It's postcard perfect, with crystal blue water and palm tree lined beaches, with untouched lagoons and mangroves to explore.

"The fishery here is awesome, it's world class. It's not easy (at all). But there are few places as rewarding to fish as here." Says owner of the camp, Jeff Spiegel, who once owned a Punk Rock record label and taught himself to be a professional chef. "The Leeward side of the island has nothing, and it's all concentrated on flats fishing."

They suggest the best way to get around on your own and fish, is by stand up paddleboard. The unique fishing position and ability to quietly sneak around little areas is unique to a paddleboard, leading to an unforgettable experience when you inevitably land a great catch.
