First ever Puppy Paddle Race for Dogs on the Gold Coast

Score one of these awesome puppy rashies when you enter!
Everyone loves a dog on a stand up paddle board, and while it's become extremely popular at places like Currumbin on the Gold Coast, until now, nobody has decided to hold a race for our four legged friends.

It's called 'Pups on SUPs' and it's being held next month on the 28th of October 2017 at the world famous Currumbin Creek, where the sun always shines and the water is always smooth! Entrants are encouraged by all skill levels of paddlers, even if you don't have a board right now you can borrow one on the day for the social paddles, and if you're up for a bit of a race - the event organisers have a cracker for you.

One of the shortest races you'll ever enter, this 250m Dash for Cash will see paddlers digging deep and pups holding on for their lives; because the winner walks home with a decent chunk of cash! There's also heaps of great prizes in the social events too, but you'll need to be there on the day to see what kind of fun is on offer.

Courtney Hancock, ambassador for the Animal Welfare League and Iron woman will be there with her dog, and explained on social media this week, "It's so great to see Surfing Queensland put on an event that incorporates everyone in the wider community and also gives back to such a great cause. I'm really looking forward to hitting the water with my pooch in October," The great cause she mentions is the Animal Welfare League, which will receive all proceeds from the event, plus whatever they receive from the event will be matched by MBA partners. All entries will score a puppy rashie, by Ezydog, and a $20 gift voucher from Vetshop Australia, so head on over to the website now for entry , and take your pup on a great day out at the Currumbin Creek next months.
