Pic: HK Photography
The Patrik Slalom Series got underway in WA this week, and what better way to kick off the racing calendar than with a 15-20knt seabreeze, sunny skies and the idyllic location of Safety Bay

Sailing over a classic M downwind course, the heats were fast and action packed. With over 20 riders competing in both open and freeride categories, the racing was close and competitive all day.p<> After five heats and one mass fleet start, the round was eventually won by Rowen Law (Patrik/Severne) on 2 points, with Jake Dallimore in second place on 10 points, closely followed by Blair Gavin taking out third on 10.5 points.

Big thanks to series sponsors Patrik, Steve’s Surf Shed, WWA and SBYC for hosting a great day.

Round 2 is at Green Head WA, on December 4th.
