A friend put me onto an awesome free App called WAZE. Basically a navigation app that joins other drivers in your area who share real-time traffic and road info including fixed and hidden speed cameras. Saved me many times already from sneaky placed cameras on my way down south and the navigation works really well only thing I use now. Had to share...more users the more accurate this gets. Say no to revenue raising I say..Gold!

I have a different approach to beating the revenue raisers....

Don't speed.

100% success rate so far.
Also less likely to have, or cause, a serious accident.

So what you're saying is you're faffing around with your phone whilst speeding.

I've got an inbuilt App in my car called a speedometer and more than two working brain cells which allow me to read the numbers in circles on signs and control the speed of my car.

No speeding fines since 1995 and +50k driving a year

I detest people who deliberately endanger others by their selfish behaviours...

Waze does have other uses though. Its good to see traffic slow downs and breakdowns, so that you can divert away from them. I had one recently where three lanes of traffic had stopped all of a sudden up ahead, due to an accident, and I noticed it in time and was able to take a side street to get around it. As its using GPS data from other Waze users, it shows up almost straight away.

The cop thing is good too, although I am more of the type that figures if you aren't paying attention you deserve to get pinged. You can get away with driving at the speed limit all day, yet you see people driving at 10 to 20 over, and surely they aren't really paying attention.

I use Waze all the time even when I know where I'm going. A relatively easy interface to feed you live traffic data and will automatically re-route you around jams if it finds a better route.

It also has had most of the speed zones in there already and you can set it to beep at you if you're speeding. Can be extremely useful if you miss a sign or don't know the area.
