I've noticed there is no dive forum. Not sure how many people on here also scuba dive but I'm sure there are a few. I have a hero 9 go-pro and have been using this to get reasonable quality underwater footage. I know there are many cameras that give a much better picture quality for still photos. Especially with macro options. What does everyone recon is the best brand & model for underwater. Also with a reasonable price tag.
These used to be the standard for underwater cameras.

I haven't been diving for a few years now (different focus) but when I was I was using a Canon S95 with an INON S2000 Strobe and INON Wet Lenses.
You can get away with the camera and housing only but you get much better results with the wet lenses and external strobe.
Olympus Tough TG6. Good for 15m. I've got the previous model, can't kill it. There are plenty of reviews on it.

And if you get the housing it's good to 40m. My wife has a slightly older model of the Tough and likes it.
I prefer the S95 as it has more features I use...

Ignorance is bliss, n'cest pas??
Sorry my French is a little rusty with not being able to travel due to corona but will have a crack at answering you question cisco. Forgive me if I spell some words wrong.
cet appareil photo est une vieille technologie et ses images ne sont pas aussi bonnes que l'quipement moderne.
Yes it is apparent the camera is old technology and the images it produces are not as good as from modern equipment.
My response to the thread title "Best Dive Camera" was as you can see above ie. what used to be. Can you not take that for what it is??
You have not answered my question.
Yep, agreed, its not the best dive camera now or for a long time, but once was up there before digital took over the world . So now he knows what to avoid, so I guess it did help him narrow down his search.
oooopps, sorry, I forgot you like to speak in French
No I do not like to speak French and I do not like these meaningless tit for tat sparring chats, so you win. You can puff your self up a lotof more wind now. Bye.
I had an early Tough many moons ago. It died an early death. I advise that it gets a really good rinse after each use, or in the bin it'll go. Common sense, but I learnt the hard way.
