Theyve done it before with pryde group then flow controlling sic

Seems like the patents and products between new north and cabrinha are so simular i cant really grasp how they could legally let it all happen unless they were literally inbed with eachother....

Anyone know if shriro owns new north somehow in some umbrella like fashion?

Thought i just uncovered the scandal of century because founder of oakly capital last name is Till hahaha i double took and wait... Wtf how is duotone also north sales? Forgot duotone till is actually first name till last name eberle or something
Was one hell of a ride for a few seconds

So anyways back on topic... Tin foil hat men of seabreeze.... Can yas find any link to say the whole new north debacle was backed by cabrinha? In some scandalous market domination ****. Like opening a bws next to coles or woolworths a liquorland or whatever is whoever etc etc

Only reason im even looking in to this is because i need some new boots and im trying to work out which companys are actually manufacturing the damn boots! Waters makeing everything wet and thats just not on i need me some magic space bootys that stay dry

AFAICR Neil Pryde owns the factories, Shriro owns/controls the brands (NP and Cab) and use NP factories. Pete Cabrinha doesn't like NP and NP hates a bunch of people on his team, so they've been given the boot and are now North, based in Auckland NZ and is mostly full of NZ designers etc. And Pat Goodman. Can't remember who's making their gear...

Go into a shop and ask any of the managers who go to the dealer meetings.

Nice pick up Causehecan ( my new online friend ???) what I found unusual is that most companies have a specific separation clause that would stop employees working directly for a competitor, normally for a year after you finish. You would think Cabrinha had this clause in their employees contracts. ??? Seems like a inside job to me ??

I was listening to the designers podcasts and it was all very well laid out.

But they literally arent saying words like "cabrinha" for legal reasons during interviews etc etc

I just dont know if maybe it isnt all a very clever way to capture the market from duotone (who is waaaaay infront of all the other brands when it comes to kites being sold and just everything really etc etc etc)

And cabrinha knew they werent going to catch up nothing was changeing they even threw in the chaos to attack the vegas

And then... Well... It really is pretty in credible

I wonder what happens with companys like UNILEVER etc the level of corporate sabotage and medalling must be thenominal

I remember reading how the mafia controlled all the farms etc in victoria back in the day and woolworths took on the mafia and won!

And if you look at how politics is played out these days the real fun and games is in these large companys that own several other companys.

So they all have very well structured and rehearsed stuff and so should they all you need to do is look at "old norths" kite design to see when this fight REALLY started. When was the first year for this 2 coloured (duo tone) north kites again? 2013? 2014?

And i really dont think legally you can just abandon companys and businesses in a season etc i think most contracts will say something like unless we give permission you cant work for another kite brand within 12 months after contract or whatever whatever you get what im saying ...

I felt like an idiot for even writeing this post when listening to this podcast. It explained quite alot very perfectly

But then at the very end... Something weird happens... He makes a string of comments about how the north brand is the same and all the old north riders should "come back" to north... It just all seemed... Chemical... But the way he said it all was just as hed said everything else... Which made me wonder wow... These guys can actually convince you one way or the other.

But its obviously just a bit of a performance

Anyways
If my paranoid dilusions are correct and
cabrinha and new north are in bed together its a pretty amazing move.

Just imagine your competeing against another brand and you cant beat them so you start probeing for weaknesses and ways to attack them and then all of a sudden AHHH HAAAA!! lighbulb moment! They dont actually own theyre brandname/logo! Well take that away from them!
Of course cabrinha itself isnt doing any of this stuff but the big guys behind them that do this sort of stuff all time sure do.

You gotto throw a bit of garbage in these sort of posts just incase they get taken seriously because in the event a legal team is reading my nonsense i like to think im causeing them mental pain having to read this ****

In a market that seems saturated, I
can't believe that Switch is the only company having a crack at going direct to the consumer, sure there's some smaller players trying, I expected by now, we would've seen one of the bigger manufacturers defecting from the retailer network and going direct. - Ozone -?

Also, you can't order kites direct from the manufacturers, you always have to purchase from the retailer!!!!

Most brands distributers now have theyre own brand specific website with sales tagged in. (About as close as direct sales as you can get while keeping a retail distribution network etc )
Effectively cutting out the retailers a bit. I think its a great way to kill your brand slowly because the retailers will grow suspicious of less sales and may suspect theyre getting funneled into the brands website. Pretty sure legally they cant display prices below retail like retailers can but i really dont know if thats true or they can or just dont etc one thing is for sure if i was stocking something in a store them the distributer started selling them cheaper then what i was id probably want to return the stock and get my money back or something or be credited.
I like supercheap autos system buy a bucket for $20 next week its on sale for $5 they send you $15
I shop threw them on principal because of that.

Switch isn't. Gong, Takoon, off the top of my head. There are others. And some will sign you up for an ambassador program if you ask
