^^^^right up there with the windwing, but probably ok for windsurfers wanting less gear to haul around.

Design wise... The sharktooth thing doesnt make much sense... It should be rounded to prevent lifting... Ive noticed they have even cut the tips off the trianlges that are coming up... If i bought one i would grab some teeny nail scissors and i would put a thin piece of cold cold metal under the lifted tips then heat of the teeny nail scissors and make little circles out of the tips then remove the cold thin metal barrier and glue the new rounded edges down with just a tiny little dab. The stitching on the shark tooth tips is also irregular. Must be a real pain in ass stitching those.

Theres quite a famous paraglider company called advance argueably number 1 brand. And they have these little winglets that are like a little extra cell that protrude out of the topskin like wee little ears. The idea is that they prevent vorteces from forming or something but the running joke is that every year these trademark little protrusions get smaller and smaller every year....

I hope these shark teeth become worn and rounder with age.

You're head is wedged so far up your own arse, try pushing it further up and you might see some light in about 20 years.
Maybe by then you'll have some life experience so you can make your ill informed judgements with some kind intelligence.

Wow

Are you really going to argue this just because i said it .... Cause everyone knows circular and curved patches dont lift as much as squares and triangles... Closer you get to a circle the better... Hexagons not tooo bad octagons even better but could do with a few more corners decagons? Now we are getting somewhere...

Triangle? Its actually difficult to find a shape that would lift and peel more then a triangle.

Speaking of "knowledge" guess what everyone who reads your absurd outburst is thinking about you?

Anywho does anyone know if there a patent on curved trailing edge reinforcements?

I don't even see his posts anymore, same for his other accounts. If you can't help it try to only read the first and last sentence and ignore everything else.

My apologies to causehecan for the personal attack, you are more then entitled to your opinion and I don't have to read or react to that.

What shetz me right off the richter is the brand bagging. You are using a public forum to make negative comments about manufacturers that really can't defend themselves. How do we know you aren't working for or sponsored by a competitor.

Peace

Because my knowledge of kites is second to only my knowledge of building big buildings and just quitely between you and me working on billion doller projects pays a tad bit higher then selling tours and coffees while a pile of polyester dreams slowly deteriorates in the corner of room loosing value right before my eyes.

Do i have to tell you how much oyster shell i ask to be in my mix when pouring columns or something ? Or will you be happy if i just tell you i hold the dumb end of the tape?

Either way not really relevent who i am or what i do.

Im intrested in all kites especially the ones that arent even being produced anymore but ill settle for picking over all the new ones. When i grow up to be as old as you im going to be standing in a park alone with my peter lynn arcs all layed out in a outfit that looks like i robbed a god botherer on sunday and ill wait with anticipation for some poor basterd to walk within earshot of me and ill start yelling at them about the fabric and weaves used and coatings and why. And then as they run the last thing they hear is my voice trailling off in the distance "Eefff woohhnnneee kites are shhhiiiiiiiiiitttttt"

Jokes aside i think its important you know no one on here is getting paid to say anything.
People get paid to NOT say anything. Its called media training. Notice how the pro riders arent here? Or the smart people in the industry? This joints a 3 dimensional minefield you cant say left or right or both directions youll always be wrong in someones eyes. If i was being paid by anyone it would be for me to be quite.

Mayne i should pass a hat around it could save laurie valueable codeing time having to make that ignore button. (Pretty sure he could just google php squelch and copy paste ) but $20 is $20 do a kickstarter or gofund me ill delete allllllll my accounts (its just this one)

There is some useful insight from causehecant stop talking (although this particular excursion into which shapes stick better is as pointless as one could get) Just wish it wasn't surrounded by so much superfluous suffering syllables.

Then again there is amirite, two sides of the same coin.

As long as clayton sticks to catching minnows in a bucket i think the industry is safe.

Its hilarious that people patent such garbage but i couldnt find a single patent on google about the reinforcement of trailing edges. I just assumed the triangles were to avoid a patent. Now im more lost then what i started with.

Also oldmate zippable trousers kite clearly has never seen a paraglider fold its wingtips to decrease size and increase stability....

I have thought about adding a collapse line into a kite before looks like ozones done it with theyre 5th line foils. Yet they make countless wings with ability to tuck wing tips... Anyways im looking forward to saying goodbye to foilkites with theyre mixer system and having all the cascades directly connected to the *bar instead and therefore the opportunity to control the kite is greatly improved with all sorts of new stalls and collapses available to the rider.

With cost of lines these days pushing an 8line adaption kit will be fun but im sure the pilots among us will get into it

Ill listen to robbys podcast today now that im amongst civilisation on a bluetooth speaker as i rummage thru coles for araldite and boot laces keeping the speaker hidden under my yellow rain jacket ive been wearing since primary

Seeyou all at the wizards tent soon

Intresting podcast not sure how i feel about rou chater tho...

But whatever ive never really liked insurance salespeople his podcast questions arent too bad ill give a few more of his a listen to later

Robbys new injurys is pretty eye opening and can see why the windwing thing might be good for super old people if even he is nearly dieing when kitesurfing just due to frail bones and old age.

Luckily for me i wont be getting old. I wont be only falling on water im going to trees and rocks and bottles of vodka to fall into to ensure i never bleed to death due to a broken pelvis while during a photo shoot in my mid 50s...

you gotta stop this ignorant bashing of the windwing man. It is opening up some interesting options, especially for outer reef break on a Sup Foil when the wind is lightish and gusty.

Its another way to have fun on the water, plus access waves normally inaccessible unless one has a jetski of boat...and some crew and getting bloody good at using them; not just for the fat euro' surburban (should be playing lawn blows and bingo) tourist...

unhooking is just one option for a certain rider in certain conditions.

Im legit all for the windwing if it keeps old mate robby on the water without dieing during a kiteing photo shoot. Listen to the podcast.

Also i want to be first to land ON a windwinger like that video of that dolphin landing on that surfer or kayaker

Immortality is my desire and the windwing will take me there

cant decide if i should dress AS a dolphin or just wear one. Or dress as an italian plumber in red overalls or just wear one.

Actually these podcasts are pretty good.

Nothing on cloudbase mayhems but theyre about as close to that as i can find for kitesurfing. I just hope aaron hadlow gets one so i can make deep fake audio files of him reading me bedtime stories about caterpillars who eat too much

Yeah he said theyre company isnt owned by anyone. Which explains why alot of theyre designs which i think are bad got implemented. Sigma series anyone?
But i kind of like the wacky stuff just wish it got phased out sooner they seem to let it all hang a long time

My biggest take away is that he nearly died cause he used a twintip

And hes only mid 50s

If i was as old as you guys id just quit. I just assumed you were all pussys for not rideing boots and throwing down. Turns out your utterly useless when old.
