Wondering if anyone has done some summer kiting on either of these lakes?

I haven't kited but have sailed, Id be conservative until yr confident of true wind in an area you pick.

The wind can shift quite a few degrees as wind funnels through differing mountain landscape also gusty (remembering you are at the bottom of the range, snow kiting is done nearer the top but I guess still has its challenges)

but I would think you could find good spots on a windy day.

Thanks Richoa. Think I'll throw a kite in the car and look to see if other kiters are out.

I've tried when it was windy one day in winter a few years back when the ski lifts were all on wind hold.and all my kite gear was in the car.. went near east Jindabyne just straight off the beach in some park I drove past..

BUT OMFG it was so f*ing cold in even a thick wetsuit... never again even considering doing something that stupid again.... the wind was fine, a bit gusty and patchy in areas but wasn't by any means unrideable...

In summer, it would be nice I would think...

every time one I go past I think how awesome it would be on a foil...
