Thumbs Up

G'day,

Moving back to the Ballina/Lennox after having lived out of the area for work for several years.

I grew up surfing at flatrock always frustrated at kitesurfers getting all the waves, so I decided to come over to the dark side.

Aside from the spit in the river in Ballina, are there any other spots in the area suitable for someone who is still a noob, and probably not ready to risk it in the waves.

I have had a few lessons and can get up and riding, waterstart, keep upwind and re launch my kite fairly reliably, but have only ever ridden on flat water.

Would love to get riding with the local crew

Cheers

CJ

Shark bay at woody head is flat water in a ne wind or the broadwater on the goldcoast in most winds

Thanks Fruitloop, had a good time at broadwater in the SE on the weekend.

Woody head is looking good tomorrow arvo...not sure if I can get there after work in time though.
