Long planned trip to NW WA.
Good reason for a new board.
Read all the reviews tried and owned many boards.
Marty builds and finishes a beautiful board.
Made by a kiter who surfs with years of experience.
Bamboo deck, double screw blocks for strap security, soft NSI straps (can stand on them when riding switch, I've a few strapless boardsbut I'm crap strapless, dont like leggies and dont like to much body dragging around the east coast atm), futures fins, glassed to last.
Amp isnt heavy it feels right and balanced under your arm.
Gave him a call and after a chat he forwarded me a design 5' 10" x 18 1/2" x 2 3/16" quad.
His quote pull the trigger will be done for the trip.
Just back from NW. (Blow-vember it was).
used a depowered 9m for 2 days and a 6m for the remainder. Surf ranged from double over to head high.
Board went unreal. few areas you need to tack either up to or back from and the amp with the quad set up and concave climbed higher than the crew I was with.
Dropping in to the bomie and of the bottom (backhand) through the boil no probs like on rails even over powered.
Thanks Marty yep you said it the new amp will have you frothing.
I dropped into Marty's in September, when i was in the area and if Marty's stoke is anything to go by, then this shape works.
He's seen it and made it all before, but to see someone so passionate about a new concept was pretty cool.
I didn't get a chance to use one, but it sure looks like a sweet wave slayering machine.
Stoked Dowls and stoke on to Marty
Looks good mate! Is your board glassed in epoxy?
We are spoilt for choice of quality board makers here in WA. Got a new Katana being finished up this week!
Day 1 Testing Ground of the Delta Amp.
After 3 hours the wind started to swing OS.
Late arvo shot. Still solid.
Nothing beats the first kite on a new board in Good Conditions.
