just trying to get a honest opinion on the gaastra spark as a first kite selection, doesn't seem to be alot out there on these kites. I'm just trying to justify the $$$ difference to obtain a switch blade or the gaastra to cut my teeth on.
Any opionions Could help.

The missus has a Spark, its a real nice kite, can't see any reason why it wouldn't suit as a first kite.

Can't comment on the gaastra bar though, she uses a cab.

Thank you for that.
I think ill start off with this kite for the dollar value and what I save maybe able to get me a second kite to add to the quiver.
Thanks for taking the time for the response.

Might not help too much but I learnt on a Gaastra Hatch 13m 2013 model.

I am am the same weight as you.

Anyway I can rate to Hatch as a good stable kite with plenty of bottom end and great depower. Build quality is fine.

From memory the Hatch is a bit more delta than the Spark and I think more free ride in nature.

I have just passed my Hatch onto a mate to learn on as it is still in great condition after a season of learner abuse.
