So, I was out for a grovel in the windcohpped tiny surf yesterday, when a couple of non-locals pumped up their kites and headed out onto the water.
Not ideal conditions for surfing or kiting, and there were quite a few family type swimmers in the shore break.
Kiter number one is on a kite that's too small, ends up downwind, and gives up after a little while - good result !
Kiter number two has a bigger kite, and has plenty of power, comes flying past heading upwind and then turns and comes heading back towards me.
Just when I'm thinking "this is gonna be close" the twat boosts some air, and lands literally on right top of me !
Now, I don't know what he was thinking 1) "I think I'm going to collide with this surfer, so I'd better see if I can jump over him" or 2) F*ck him,....
Either way, I think I'll be carrying my line knife from now on, just to be on the safe side
