Bought the large model Aerogen(1200mm diameter, 6 bladed) Marine wind generator years ago, prior to GFC and everyones rush to go alternate...saw it was coming and wanted to be ahead of the 30's style depression, etc,etc...missed it by 5 months, thought it was about 2 yrs off. Anyway, have yet to put it up on a semi-remote weekender+existing solar (no, I'm not one of the crazy Doomsday Prepper types) and just wondering if anyone has any experience of this wind generator on a yacht, in terms of output V's more modern/compact designs, noise levels (for this particular unit...not generators per se!, not wishing to re-open old threads/animosities). Responses will probably not change my mind regarding putting it up since I already own it, but would like to hear other people's experiences.
