I bought my boat off Jonathon. Mate bought his big Cole alloy 42 off him. Seems like a decent bloke and particularly honest.

Devastated, purchased a yacht from broker dealer in Sydney. I write this here on this site as other victims have told there story here. But be warned other brokers no of this man marina's have even banned him. Fair trading are now investigating with along a long list of others.His business is called regatta sailing and his name is Jonathan frearson.he is what others call a bag broker.

Some people don't - and there are a lot of them on this forum - appreciate the difference between spoken and written English.

I have bought 2 yachts off Jonathan over the years, I found him knowledgeable, friendly and a very good communicator.
I have recommended him to friends and often watch to see what interesting boats he has for sale.
The people who often buy his boats seem to be dreamers and know not what they are doing judging by the fact that vessels are often relisted to the market again.

I was out bid on eBay on this yacht a few years ago. "Tactical Response" was sold by Jonathon and I thought I had it in the bag up till the last second. Bought by a shipwright I believe and he has done a better job of restoring her than I could have done. This was one of those yachts that actually sold first time.

Okay, I cannot see how a boat broker can sell someone a lemon, if they (the buyer) do their due diligence on the boat in the first place, including having a surveyor look over the boat properly, from bow to stern, keel to the tri colour lights at the top of the mast, and everything in between, if they failed to take this simple precaution then they have no one to blame but themselves, if on the other hand they did have these checks carried out then obviously the fault lies with the surveyor not the broker, some people are just incapable of accepting that the blame rest fair and square on their own shoulders, so in conclusion if you purchased a lemon, then suck it up, put it down to experience, and most importantly, go cry in your own beer...
