Hi team.

Looking at Top down furlers , plenty on the market , a little research I like the Selden GX top down furler,
has a nice easy looking adjustable tack system where most don't.

Tried to add a few links but being new member presume it will not let me at this stage, plenty youtube clips about Selden top downs.

Familiar with Harken, Furlex brand but not Selden , anyone with one that can comment.

Thanks
see ya Neil..

I just fitted a new code 0 with a Seldon top down on my Hanse 57 but I have not used it yet except for when we fitted it as we left to go away in our caravan the day after I got it. It was supplied by the sail maker with the code O. I went on the sail makers advice and the one time I have use it, it seamed to work well.

Have a selden top down spinnaker fuller , CX 40 drum with the GX25 top down kit .
and paid a little extra for a good quality luff cable . I just make sure the spinnaker halyard is extra tight as its not a 2:1 like for a code 0 set up
have had no issues flying the kite .

Look hard at the Harken.

Their new torsion rope turns the top swivel almost immediately, where as the others can take 10-20 turns of the drum before the torsion rope twists the top swivel.
Not only does this mean alot less effort in furling, but also means less stuffed furls, like alot less. And there is nothing worse as you nearly always have to take the whole sail ashore to unfurl and fix.

Do you adjust your tack , and if so how easy is it , the selden has a good set up optional extra which has an adjustable swivel tack.
But if Harken have a better torsion robe think this would be more beneficial than an easier adjustable tack.

Still have not been able to add links as yet but heaps good youtube clips.
