New GC wings from Signature in two sizes 1260 & 900 with 83cm & 70cm wingspans respectively - this whole new set-up has been revised & now has a much stiffer mast/fuse than the previous design. Also now a modular design with different length fuselages available & plenty of tail wing desings/sizes to choose from (Inc designs by KDMaui & Brian Finch).
Interesting shape & you can easily see the fusion of Albatros (HA) & Stealth (Wave) designs in these wings.
I've only had a few sessions on a demo 1260 so far & have found it very fast with good glide & turns really well for it's size. The 1260 pumps great & if you slow down you can easily pump back up to speed. Pretty sure you can pop the tips out turning with no issues but hav'nt ridden it enough to say for sure.
Has anyone else tried these new wings out?, would like to hear your opinion - especially on the 900.

Pretty interested. I just got an OLD Signature setup. I was mainly interested in it to get the mast so I could have a way into the sig/unifoil system. Is the new mast that different?
What's your weight toppleover? Prone surfing? You couldn't compare to the AXIS 760/860 series could you?

Not sure about the mast mate, the new design looks much the same to me as the older one but it's much stiffer - the fuse is obviouslly totally different now being modular.
I'm about 73kg & just prone on a 4'3 Amos.
Hav'nt ridden the 760/860's but mate's have them & from just looking at them, the GC1260 is similar size & same type of dihedral shape but much flatter at the tips (allmost no downturn).
Would be great it Erick from the Progression Project could compare to the Kujira wings but he hasn't got the GC's yet.
Yup, just confirmed the game changer isn't compatible with the old mast. Super annoying. Just sold off AXIS gear over the same annoyance.
Hey Hdip, this info is from Robbie (Signature Australia).
The new mast have M6 screws instead of M8 on the older design - Adaptor kits will be available soon .
The new masts have been beefed up near the base plate which transfers flex further down the mast making them stiffer than the previous mast.
Great to see Signature are trying to look after existing customers when they change designs.
Any reviews between : Albatros 165 to GC 900 or 1260 ???
I really like the Alabatros 165 and I can't wait to try with the Kane 13'5 tail wing.

Hi French Foiler
I recently have tried all three of these wings and its safe to say I love them all.
The Albatros was originally my downwinder go to and the stealth 175 was my favourite surf wing, but after trying the new GC 900 and 1260, both the Albatros and stealth have been replaced.
The GC 900 was crazy fast for how small the wing is, it pumped like an absolute dream as the glide is just next level. I was really worried that all this speed and pumping ability would ruin the turning ability, however it carved and pivots just as good if not better than the stealth 175. There is less lift in this wing so it may require a shim or two depending on your weight.
I used the GC 1260 in a recent downwinder and was absolutely amazed at how much glide it had whilst going slow, but yet didn't over lift me when going really fast. Ive tried the Albatross 175 and the Axis 900 high aspect down winding and by far the GC 1260 was the best wing out of all of them and for such a big wing I managed to be able to carve the chop with speed witch I've never been able to do.
All these wings was paired with a 16" flat tail wing as it pumps way better.
I hope this helped a little
Cheers Caleb.

I've only had a few sessions on the 165 & 1260, the GC 1260 has the glide & pump of the 165 but also has a better low end & turns better imo.
Erik from the Progression Project finally got the GC1260 to try, I would have got one also if there was some stock in Australia....arriving very soon I believe.

I think it would be nice to have another one between 900 and 1260, a 1000 would be perfect
Do you have the weight of the new Signature, in the web site they say 3.5 to 3.8 kg. Is it because of a new construction ? Seems a bit heavy for all carbone. Takuma Kujira alu mast/fus is 3.7kg.
My Alabatros 165 is 2.9kg. Unifoil is 2.8kg.

Hey Greg, the new construction is very close in weight to your Alby 165 setup - maybe 1 or 200 grams heavier because of the increased stiffness.
I had both the old & new setups side by side to compare the stiffness & there was a big difference.

Yes, so it is maybe a mistake on their website.

Sorry for the very late reply.
New mast = 1860g (old=1700g)
GC 1260 including fuse/stab & all fasteners = 1480g (GC900=1290g)
1860+1480=3340g
The new setup is solid, hav'nt heard of any issues so far.
Anymore reviews on these? Didn't make it to a demo of them today. Wish I had.
I did one here on the 1260 hopefully that helps

I think I saw a video from real watersports that said the Kujira is measured used projected area and the 980 is more like a 1200 in plan area.Might explain why they look so close in size to 1260 GC
Has anyone done the aspect ratio math on that wing?

Yeah I checked that earlier. Signature isn't on there. Or did I miss it?
Ok sorry, I just thought it would be there.
Around 5.5 I've been told by Signature Australia.

It's at the very bottom. Probably just added?
1210 & 1260 both epic foils
Which do you choose ??
Depends on conditions, the 1210 has more glide & pump but the 1260 is way better in the pocket and hitting foam & still has good pump.
Thinking about keeping both
