Hello, I realise theres a few posts on the Hypernut but I can't demo any so I wondered if anyone who own or has riden either of these boards has a take on it? I am coming down from an 8'9 Allwave 145L which feels like a barge on the wave and is super stable. Its been a good learner sup. I had pretty much made my decision to go for the 7'8 but there is a Wooden 7'4 available locally (used) is nice condition around half the price of new. The weight guide says I should be fine but if its a step to far then money wasted not saved!! Any help would be good. Board is mainly 2 to 5ft surf and i'm an intermediate...
I am 93Kg and have the 7'4" wood, plenty stable enough. Only downside is long paddles to break, prefer I a board with more glide for that, go for it plenty of fun handles power and mush.
Yeah I've tested the 7-4 great board , looking at getting one myself with the tuttle box for foiling as well . I'm 90 kegs floats me fine . Great board and I reckon the best all round performer out of the door/vanguard style boards.
I've got a 7'2" HN and I'm 82kgs, plenty of float (maybe even 5 litres too much) and stability. Magic board if you are happy to sacrifice a bit of paddle power, which is no brainer given the skateboard fun it delivers. I was actually looking forward to an update from SB for 2018, although I don't know what they would change, but they've kept with the same shape.
