Hey gang. Been a long time since I've posted anything on here. Living on the Sunny Coast now and loving it. Decided to get back into racing and am wonder if anyone out the in breezeland has ridden all these boards and can give me an opinion on how they compare? I'd be looking at the 26" or even 28" wide ones. Thansk gang

Not what you asked, but I find the 2020 the fastest and more stable of them provided you use a very shallow fin (i.e. I use 6 1/4 deep fin).
The 2018 has the strongest construction which is great for a downwind board.

Depends on what kind of racing you're into? If short sprint and downwind is your thing either will work. 2017 being the lightest of the 3 should be a good choice. If you're looking longer distances, there are better boards. As mentioned, the 2020 is better in every aspect.

I had the 2017 and 2018 Maliko's and I still have the 2018 with its yellow/orange fade.. It's a keeper.. It's noticeable stiffer and stronger.. I love the 28" width and it's more stable for choppy open ocean paddling but you'd be fine on the 26" because it's slightly faster.

The 2019 was a slightly heavier board due to the paint and the full gloss silver is harder to keep looking like new..

I'd love to buy the new 2020 Maliko.. It's a new shape but I keep spending all my money on foils and wings..
