Thumbs Up

Hi everyone
I,m looking for a step up board for bigger waves.
I am 88 Kg my small is board is a Naish 8,5.
I'm finding the bigger wave purpose boards a little stiff.
The Sic 9,4 *29 looks good but maybe a little wide.
Has anyone had one out in decent size waves?
regards glenn

hi, i had one. it really is a top line board. beautifully made.

sounds wide. however it doesn't look 9'4, does surf like its 29' wide.surfs more like a 8'6 to 8'10 type board.

for me that wasn't what i wanted and well i wanted a board that felt bigger and weighed a bit more for bigger trickier days at the alley. the alley can be a tough paddle. big paddle backs from the towers to the point, lots of current, wind, backwash from the creek mouth etc

the board does paddle fast and gets onto waves very early, holds a great high line on steep sections. didn't surf it in big waves but have no doubts it would do it well.

the only down side might be the board is extremely light
