Kids have got a Fanatic Ripper from 2014, which has a textured deck rather than a traditional EVA grip, the trouble is that it is actually quite slippery.
Has anybody experienced this and roughed up the deck a bit to improve traction? Haven't ruled out laying down a deck pad, but even still I am not confident it will stick properly on the textured deck.

Thanks,
Scott.

OK, thanks mate, did it just need to be done by hand? Was it a Ripper also or something different?

Thanks,

Not preferred, bit messy for the kids. Plus it doesn't have a cover and would be in between other boards in transport.
