something to think about but expensive at the moment in a hollow race board construction
Interesting board, it's .5kg heavier than a 27 wide Sidewinder which is half the price.
I spoke to someone years ago about making a hollow carbon board. The expensive part is the mold. Once you have made it you are stuck with that design. Even to change the width of the board you need another mold.He also didn't think there would be a big difference in weight. At 9.5kgs it's light. But not 4kgs lighter than the competition. Maybe 1 or 2 than some.As Dave said his board is lighter and wider!
It's Nelo kayaks making them. They have been making top end racing kayaks for years so the quality should be good.
The review would have been better if some top speeds were mentioned and some actual footage would have help just as a visual thing. I have worked for injection moulding companies before and unless you produce a lot and I mean 100000 of items the cost will always be high, as you said moulds are all different.
still a nice idea and the pro's can use them because they are free for them but the minions like us will keep our carbon fibre gold bars for now I think
