Turned out Great conditions at the Kawana Lake TT last night.

After following too far behind the fellas for the last few weeks at the lake, I decided to find my self something a little faster to reel in the gap! Plus Mr Jonesy decided we would do two laps at full steam.Ouch. Dont bring a knife to a gunfight so they say....

So on board the beautiful Naish LE 14 (the narrow one, 23 wide).

Looks great in my backyard, plus Kai signed it, making it even faster!

I had Raz to beat, but he was just too fast on first lap.

Lap 2 hurt, but I smashed my PB, and pushed those old blokes in front of me. Mission complete.

The Lake TT is such a great weekly get together. Each week you can challenge yourself against the conditions, your paddling mates, or just yourself. About 4 of us did our PBs last night, and how cool was that!

Thanks to Luke at Ocean addicts for the beautiful "le Naish" Love the narrow version, it just glides so well, is super light and I was very surprised at the stability. I will have to get it out again for a play in the bumpy stuff.

You forgot to mention Jayne that you beat Ryan on the 2nd lap. I've got the photos to prove it. (Sorry Ryan! Thanks heaps for lending me the 14foot Hobie :)). And that the old blokes that beat you (only just) were doing their first lap, while you were on your second!

Very envious of the venue...down here we'd love to have 'proper' flat water for this sort of training & competition.

You did good Jayne, need to point out your the same age as one of those old blokes in front of you.
The 4 inch narrower board does go fast.
Well done.

5 inch narrower and 1.5 feet longer.

But yes Jayne and the old boys smashed it!!!!!!!!

Jayne had me for a fair way on the first lap and was hot on my heels across the finish line.

It's interesting comparing the times between first and second laps, somehow I was only 3 seconds slower which to me doesn't make sense!!

And Jayne improved her time for a pb!!!!!!!!

As Raz said, can't believe how well you guys and especially girls did on the second lap. Maybe we should look at doing 2 laps again sometime? Thanks to everyone involved it is a great motivator to get out and train.
