Enjoyed a few fun, small waves in clean (windy off-shore) conditions. Acid 8'10 115L, me: 93 kg
Broke my paddle on the last wave Luckily that was 2 hours into the session. (sorry about the audio...)

Killing it CSE!

Fun video, Thanks!
Like to see your cam on "Superview" if you have it... gives a wider view of the wave around the board.

Yes, god point - I thought I had it on superview but it was on plain "wide". I was using it in the Maldives too and haven't seen anything worthwhile on it... It seems to be very narrow. I think it was pointed too low in the Maldives too. Yesterday I had a pretty poor mount; it was a last minute decision. If you play the video on full-screen (PC) it looks a bit better. (wish I was back out there now.)

Great surf - looks like you have the board wired.

Thanks The previous day the waves were smaller and the speeed would have been perfect. They were too small to do anything but go straight, but with the clear water, the reflections of the sky and hills off the water, and perfect shape of the waves, it was a joy to be out there!

Well, personally, I would go the speeed. I never did particularly like the 10' Style... (But I still have it if you want to buy it, it is fantastic! ) For me, the speed gave me the stability and down-the-line speed to have fun on those small, clean days. Those straight rails worked wonders. I sometimes make attempts to get up towards the nose - but I am yet to make it with toes-over...

I am not sure what it was about the Style... It was heavier and I didn't like its inertia - it took much more oompf to get it going, and you had to jump on the tail to turn it around before the wave, otherwise it was like turning the QE-II. But when I did get it going, I just was not in love with the flat deck (i.e. not much rocker). I am sure it does not have rocker for a reason, and if I was keen on nose riding I would appreciate its qualities. But I am not so I don't...

FWIW I have the 8'10 speed (and an 8'8 speed I rarely use) and am 93 kg.

I hope that helps.

You've got the board well under control. We're the same weight and I went a few inches and ten liters more for my
Acid, so I can appreciate your skill. The au'natural sound track always works.

I've only used mine so far in big and clean. The board handles the power easily. But these were also in crowded high level spots where I'm not comfortable filming.

Thanks.

There were just three of us, so filming was OK. I sometimes take it out attached to my helmet if it is big. It is a Session so it is more subtle than the previous models. I like watching vids with that perspective because it is like reliving the waves. The worst part is when you muff the wave; you kick yourself all over again...
