Hello DJ, wife and I are coming down in feb/march and I wanted to surf at " your beach " with her as it suits her perfectly. We intended to go to Phillip island and then perhaps catch the ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliff ? Will that still get us to your beach or have we skipped it?
Barwon heads got a wave? Then Bells perhaps - only own rashie/radiator wetties - still warm in mid march?
Hopefully can catch up to a few breezoids along the way - Woolgoolga to Bundeena,Green Island,Merimbula an on to Phillip is and then down great ocean rd YIPEE!

Great road trip, Phillip Island is great, NE wind do the beaches on the left SE wind go to the end and do the beaches on the right! Sorrento front beach is a pond, back beach you may see Harold Holt go by in a Submarine?? Barwon Heads has waves there and all the way down the coast to Bells and beyond, Pt Addis if you want to nude Sup!!
Also try to get down to Lorne and stay a while I ts a great spot and if there is enough swell the point can be fantastic.

DJ has gone noticeably quiet on this thread..... Guess he doesn't want to share his beautiful beach.

This was a couple of days ago.. If you crouch down really low you might get a head high wave..

The entrance fee to the carpark is waived if your board is yellow, otherwise I think the going rate is an egg& bacon roll from Pt Leo general per visit!

If you venture across to Queenscliff, Pt. Roadknight is well worth a look also...

Your beach isn't too hard to find DJ. Gee even I found it when I was taking my wife for a drive through some nice country side. Down a little hill, turn right and there's DJ's little vehicle .

Steve, ocean temperature down here is presently 19.1. It should be a little warmer by late Feb, but not that much. So what you will need is a pretty individual choice.

By way of example, I was in Tassie last Feb (and will be there again this Feb) and was in a spring suit. But the water still felt a little cool to me. Ben Stockwin from on here kindly gave me a few tips for places to check out and in conversation he said that he is in his spring suit by late October each year. I don't mind cold water, but wouldn't be in anything less than a 4/3 steamer if I was surfing Tassie at that time of the year.
