PFD's in Tasmania

apologies if this has been covered before anywhere. Is it mandatory to wear a PFD whilst SUPing in Tasmanian waters other than surf zones?
I know you must wear a leash/tether if you are more than 200m off shore but I am unsure as to the legalities regarding pfd's.
