Brero, you can race Unlimited and your time will be recorded for the NSW Downwind series. If you can get 5 other unlimited competitors together (by Thursday) we will see if we can create division for you.

I've got an Unlimited - but weirdly never done a DownWinder on it… Keen to have a go at this course though.

That makes 2… Pretty sure some of the other lads from the SPSC will be up for a crack at it on 17's.

Part of the series as long as it is a downwinder with 12 knots plus wind which is our criteria. The other inclusion criteria is a reasonable number of paddlers which will not be a problem for this race.

Tod, I'll be talking to AA about you starting in Bayview on your aircraft carrier to make it fair for others. If there's wind you'll love riding your board Todd as this is a great course, particularly in a southerly.

Couldn't have asked for better conditions today for paddling the length of Pittwater. Well done to everyone who gave it a go!
Give yourself a bonus and take 2 minutes of your time due to the 10:02 start time.

See you tomorrow for what should be a very fine day paddling around Pittwater!

I went and checked out the festival yesterday. Well done to the organisers, it looked to be a well run event, lots of demos, great location too. Bit unlucky with the weather with the commodore getting everybody off the demo boards in the marina for a few minutes with the lightning nearby.

A highlight was Chris de Aboitiz and his SUPing dogs. He completed the 6km race with 4 dogs on his board, some handicap. He also gave the dogs to the kids demoing boards (including my daughter and nephew below).

Sorry for the formatting of the photos, I cannot work out the uploader on this site!

There is a great short vid (funny) of the kids dogs and sups which I also cant work out how to upload, link here.
