I just had to watch that twice SP. Great post man - awesome surfing hahahahaaaaaaaa YEOOOOW

Great to see all the different camera angles of the same wave. One thing that isnt portrayed a lot of the time in most footage taken from 100m away is how gnarly it really is surfing over dry reef. It looks like heaven once ur on the face but looking back towards the beach tells a different story.

10/10

(P.S he definitely surfs the place better than Sunny ever did )

I love his top turns. Some nice insights into the wave itself

Nope - always wanted to get there. This year I am very close to making it. Excited if it can be pulled off.

Normally I would be horrified by the mention of one of our coveted breaks on the inter web, but the case of Jakes, there is no break I would rather shout from roof tops, given the utterly rediculous and unwelcoming local crew. Nothing would make me more happy than to drive past and see 70 Brazzos burning....

I have had some rather frustrated experiences out there.

Been the same since the 80's.........likely find most are Kiwi or eastern states blowins that claim local status after 6 months bit like Margaret's used to be....maybe still is

Looks like a great place to go and have some friendly local guys call you in to some really awesome waves, and then shout you beers in the car park.

Man I love his style, he's a different dude as well, mainly to do with his Aspergers condition but in any case he surfs with such a different approach.

Almost waits until he is right in the heaviest part of the wave to do his thing, eggs it on to catch him then just goes to town on it.

Great post.
