I bought my fins for $230 (usual price on line) and just the one surf, it was a pretty good surf 4-6ft a nice juicy reef break for about a good hour but it was very cold so I was in a steamer, booties & gloves (I also surf short sups - 7.4 Air Born & 7.4 Jp), anyway it was my last wave and I was pretty cold & tired and about to go in when I washed into/hit the reef (my fin came clean off) but I did get some good waves on my 6.2 Simon Anderson short board and got in some really hard fast turns into the pocket etc., I think they are super smooth and feel really nice, I feel that they lift the tail/board a bit (a fraction perhaps) which feels like you are riding / surfing on air/above the surface of the wave a bit/perhaps. So I intend to keep trying them out as best I can for now :-)
