Just got back from Beachport, spent the weekend there and the wind was non-existant......until this morning, had to pack-up & head home.

The lake is very low, south half nearly completely dry, couldn't get to 'the spit' (how do you get there? from beachport, or bog rd?)

I can't imagine how they could hold a comp. there, but you might know more about that than me...

Is there any flat water stuff done there? or is it only wave sailing. I don't think i'll be able to go though. Still relient on my parents taking me and it's prity far away.

there are four of us from KI making the trip down. got no idea wat to expect but it should be a fun weekend away! the guys at onboard are really keen. any queries ring them.

yeah for sure. we are taking a hiace and a marone landcruiser. sleeping on a farm an hopfully getting some sick windsurfing in! is there usually plenty of wind there??? people i have talked to have said that it is a sick spot.

I am going to try long board light wind sailing at surfers at Beachport, have had some recent inspiration form Giampaolo in Maui.....295 John Hall should do the trick

Brett at ONBOARD told me that it was a three day expression session sort of comp

So, rock up, pay ur money, go to the party Friday night, drink beer, sail on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, if you see someone do something speshal tell the judges and then that person gets a prize. Or something like that......
