Last time I went sailing I stood on something spikey. It's in my heel, I can't see it and just feel it sometimes. It's been a week now.
Will I die, or will it fix itself ?

Lol, let's see if we can get over 200 replies when actually talking about windsurfing, not including toe in and the lightest sail in the universe!

I had a great session yesterday after lunch on the 4.7 and 85 litre board. Nice bump and jump conditions! Tested a new 23 cm fin and it worked much better than the 21 I was using previously...

Had a rotten session yesterday. I rigged too big and was overpowered , on too fast a board, in messy chop .
Hopefully I'll rig correctly next time.

Knocked of work early yesterday got down to my local, whitecaps everywhere, measured 16-24 Knots on the shore with a 19 average.

Rigged my gear up 6.4 and 100L board. went to the trailer to get the rubber on.

Started to turn the gear the right way our for getting it on, looked at the water, white caps gone 10 knots watched another local attempting to get going on a much bigger board for 15mins as it kept getting lighter.

De rigged the gear.

We need a wind farm to grow some more wind!!!

The network went down at work so I packed up and headed to the bay for a fun lunchtime windfoil session.

Last session i rigged too small. Went back in and rigged next size up. Season so far has been super gusty and hard work at times.

Been trying some fins i bought from flikka. They are excellent. Usually spend most week days figuring out where to go on the weekend.

Last session I got to try out a new sail (Ezzy wave) and I had a blast, ordered a whole quiver of them. Now I am sitting here with new sails and no time to go sailing. For sure when I do get the time the wind will be gone.

Here's a thought bubble. Amidst the throngs of flat earthers and climate change deniers on this forum, there are also some pretty smart people. Couldn't we get a group together with the smarts to launch a major network outage everytime there is a good forecast? Anyone up for it? (I know, schools, hospitals, business etc, but priorities are priorities...)

I got a Super Light Wind 165ltr board as my go-to, so i don't sink in light winds. Last few seasons were light winds, but i guess now the wind farms have started growing wind here and i'm down to 65kg, with more time than money, i'm stuck hanging on.

For sure when you get time it will be gone, hope you use the sails soon.

Speaking of wind farms.

I once tried to hire a bunch of fans so I could hold a windsurfing event at a local rowing facility.

turns out there are no fans in Australia that could generate the wind needed.

Statistics show that you will die because 100% of those surveyed died at some point in their life. If you want to be sure of dying, then see a doctor. Statics show that all of those who died had a doctor. All case show that life is dangerous.

Wow! I thought that 'Seabreeze' was just a metaphor for shooting the wind. Likewise, 'blasting' was a way of expressing a strong or unpopular opinion that only yourself knew to be a fact. 'Bump' is a method where you put up a bulletproof post with no room for rebuttals, and 'jump' is how you leave a thread when everyone else is having a go at you. I thought that being 'overpowered' meant that you were using expletives, derogatory statements or hate speech in your post. I did notice some use of the word 'Fin'. It is a french word used to say 'the end'. I have noticed that threads including the word 'fin' were rather short, fewer people contributing or showing interest in the topic.

Try a turbojet engine like they use on the A380. A bit gusty up close and they can blow over a car. Operating costs may not be cheap though.

Had a magic session on foil gear yesterday in 10 -13 knots. There really is nothing like flying above the water on foil race gear, powering up and down the river while watching poor buggers stuck on fins pumping their rings out to try and get going for 100 metres and then drop off the plane. Poor bastards.
