It is jixed. I'm a little annoyed right now so I'll try not to scream and ****ing yell too much!!!

I read the thread at about midday on 11/12/2006. I then went sailing.

Second wave, tried a little aerial into upwind 360 thing that looks a bit like an air taka only 6" up off the lip, dunno what it is called but looks pretty ordinary and not too hard. Not even flash.

Anyway, bit of a prang, rolled ankle a bit. Hurt a bit but not bad. Even considered going back out, but next was was gonna go off so I went home to rest it. 4 hrs later, crying (literally) with pain I took some good drugs and thought better go to the Doc.

Fast FWD to now: back and forth to Perth on aeroplanes...... specialist, 2 docs, 2 physios, MRI. Apparently 3 sprained tendons, one done really bad, and broken bone. No sailing 3 months. No season for me, got one week out of about 14 or so at least.

DO NOT read that thread I reckon it is poison.

anyway gotta go have a cry now (trust me, hard not to) **** this ****!!!!

Bad luck mate, bad side is you Elmo's three tendons and a bone, good side is you can now sit back and relax get partner to get beer and things watch cricket, look on seabreeze and give us hacks some advise when we get stuck, and plan next seasons new board.
Hope you get a good physio, good ones can get you up and cranking fast.
Look forward to hear the day you get back out there.

Mark, AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......... IT
Elmo'd my big toe yesterday, thought I had cut from behind back of nail for about 10mm back. In end went to Joondalup Hospital last night, it was bleeding like a stuck pig. Normal wait got attention at 2am. Place was a mad house. Got a rev from staff for not indicating the severity when the found how much damage I did.
X-ray showed I did bit more than cut it, busted the knuckle
Have to see bone Doc on Wednesday, GP reckons it will need to be wired as I did a foooookn good job on it. And yep on the interchange bench with you for a month or so. What a bloody piss off, just as I was getting some skills up.
Still don’t know how I did it, only remember kicking into rear strap and crashing. Toe some how must have hooked on webbing and as I crashed managed to bend it til it snapped

You only need to be able to bend your toe joints to walk well. Even with a toe that doesn't bend you can walk almost normally. BUUUTTT a toe that doesn't bend won't affect your windsurfing at all!

Tell them to stick a 2" bolt right up the middle of the bast@rd and you'll be sailing the next day (with panadeine forte and ibuprofen)
