I have a fanatic skate te 2016 and I already have my vulcans layed down. Now im going for the spock but I dont get much slide. I am 60kg and 1,73m, I currently have both of the footstraps on the second hole from the front. Any tips on where to place them? Or to change the base position?

It doesn't make a huge difference, for the spock your biggest challenge is learning to get weight super forward so I guess you can put them slightly forward!

Further back would be better for speed which also helps!

Main tip for spock would be to get your weight forward before you pop, ie on your front foot.

Consider a smaller fin for your weight

You maybe are right, it might be the weight distribution during the trick

The slide comes from speed, you are trying to plane backwards,

It depends how your vulcans look, if your sliding backwards a few metres during the rig rotation , then a spock is about leaning over the mast track to continue the slide,

If you're not sliding backwards in your vulcans then keep practicing until you are, gotta get that slide, once you get the speed sorted for the slide you'll feel ready for the spock

Wouldn't worry about getting a 16cm, most freestylers are moving to bigger fins anyway for more speed/power. On a 16 you'd plane slightly less easily etc.
