Hey all, I'm looking for a convenient transportation method to get my windsurfing kit down to my local spot, and seeing as I don't yet have my Ps, I need something that i can tow behind a bike.

I found this product www.quiverkaddy.com/features.html which looks like it suits my needs. But before I shell out $400 i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this particular product and if its worth while?..

Cheers
Josh

I used to use something very similar. But I made it myself from an old golf buggy. Cost $0.

I would be sure you could make something better and cheaper.

Heres one:

talk to nitai about it. But i'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to rig something up.

there is no point in buying those type of things, jsut go down to bunnings and get a trolly (the ones you use for moving boxes) and a few lengths of timber and make a simple box shape (|__|) with out the top and screw it on the with mettal screws to the trolly, use one of your old uni joints to attach to the trolly handle so when you turn it doesnt breack and make a simple arm that goes from the seat to the uni joint if that makes sence, i will upload a pictur of the plans for one, , and that way it cost less than 100 dollars, more like 50 to 60

Haven't had any experience with the product you're asking about but if you know how to use a drill and a saw, you could do what I did?

I just used the aluminium used in pool fencing, had it cut to size (cost $90), found some wheels, lots of nuts and bolts, and you're away. All up it did cost me about $200 but that's because I bought the metal and spent a lot at the hardware store. If you found the metal at a scrapyard and have the tools it could be a lot cheaper.

The construction itself is very simple. A great bloke here at the manly sailing spot let me measure up his trolley which made it simpler also.

Albino what ever design you end up with, a big improvement is to run Go-Kart wheels on it. Reason being they dont give hassels running on soft sand.
Rims is the only item you need to buy, the tyres you can get from any Karter at a race day. As soon as the tyres go off (rubber looses grip) they toss them out. So if any mates have Karts or you are handy to a race track, these are by far the better option.
I know from experience here in WA at race meetings, moving Karts across soft on kart trolly in sandy area's. Thin profilewide profile
