its amazing how many incredibly good and incredibly bad posts go un-thumbed.

so glad voting for elections is compulsory in this country!

That could be because its quite an interruption. You click the button and a box pops up and it tells you "thanks for voting" and then counts down the seconds 'til it goes away. What a palaver. Nice idea but a bit intrusive. Maybe Lozza could streamline it for us.

Yes it is a hassel to vote. Especially with a dial-up connection.
But voting in the Federal election is easy. Especially when its to vote against Howard

not only can you not vote for MR Howard.

I just looked up Labors policy on same sex marriage. They support the ban with Howard. But still strongly objected by Australian Democrats and the Greens

whoops. should have known better to make any remote reference to politics on this forum

but good to see the thumbs down brigade have found this thread.

I reckon what might be happening is that someone gives it thumbs up, the next person gives it thumbs down which makes it look like it's not been thumbed.

NotWal, you don't have to wait for the count-down to finish before you close the popup. It still records your vote.

Recent history demonstrates that major policy (planning) is way too important to be in the hands of mere politicians.
